Tehsil Headquarter Hospital Hazro (Attock) was established in 1978, initially with bed strength of 60 beds, then It was upgraded to 100 bedded hospital after the inauguration by Ex-Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in 2013. It is providing health care facilities to urban & rural population of Tehsil Hazro.The defining step in this direction was to recognize the importance of health care at primary & secondary levels. As a first step towards better health care at primary and secondary level, a separate department was created. The basic mandate of primary & secondary health department is to focus on preventive health care in primary sector along with basic diagnostics and treatment facilities at secondary level. The context is to primarily lessen the load on tertiary care health facilities.

The Hospital entered in a mega project of “REVAMPING” by the Govt. of Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department. It is one of the institutions in tehsil Hazro to offer comprehensive medical services in all disciplines under one roof. It is providing advanced laboratory features and committed to offering state-of-the-art technology and services. The department has invested a substantial amount over the years into the healthcare infrastructure of our tehsil in the form of treatment, facilities, and services. Over the years the hospital has also hosted numerous patient education and awareness events for World Stroke Day, World Diabetes Day, World Hepatitis Day and World Heart Day.
